Acceptance and Mindfulness

27 August, 2020, 10:00am – 27 August, 2020, 11:00am

@ Webinar

As humans we sometimes spend a lot of our time and energy thinking about the things that we cannot change. We can become consumed by these thoughts and feelings, or overwhelmed by trying to fight them.

Acceptance is about reducing the amount of time and energy we spend thinking about, and battling against, these things and can be helpful in reducing symptoms of anxiety, depression and pain.

Mindfulness encourages us to pay attention to the present moment – to our own thoughts and feelings, and to the world around us. It can be used to build resilience, improve focus and give us a healthier perspective.

In this webinar we explore:

  • Descriptions to help understand the concept of ‘Acceptance’
  • Techniques for practicing acceptance
  • The concept and benefits of ‘Mindfulness’
  • Mindfulness practices that can help us to manage stress, anxiety and pain
