Wellbeing Through Work In-Work Support

Individual Support

Wellbeing through Work’s In Work Support Service offers free and confidential support for individuals who are in employment (or self-employed) and are struggling at work or on a period of sickness absence with:

  • a muscle or joint problem (like back or hip pain), or
  • a mental health issue such as stress, anxiety, low mood or depression

Our team of professional NHS Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists can provide rapid access, tailored support to help you manage a health condition in work or successfully return to work following a period of sickness absence.

To access support you must either live or work in Swansea, Neath Port Talbot or Bridgend County Borough.

Employer Support

Our In Work Support Service also enables us to work with local small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs)* to deliver Workplace Health Programmes tailored to meet the specific wellbeing requirements of your business. This can include:

  • wellbeing awareness sessions
  • advice on health promotion activities
  • development of workplace policies or practices that help support employee wellbeing.

To access support your business must be classified as an SME* and be based within Swansea, Neath Port Talbot or Bridgend County Borough.

*An SME is defined by recommendation 2003/362/EC. A category of micro, small and medium-sized enterprise employing fewer than 250 persons and which has an annual turnover not exceeding EUR 50 million, and/or an annual balance sheet total not exceeding EUR 43 million.

The In Work Support Service is made possible by the European Social Fund through the Welsh Government. There is no cost to employers or individuals to access the programme.
